Loacker’s “World of Experience” | Village Heinfels in Osttirol, Austria
Loacker, an international brand of wafer and chocolate snacks, prides themselves on quality and company history as they supply more than 80 countries worldwide with their products.
In 2010 they opened the “World of Experience” in Heinfels, Austria. Open to the public, this educational center showcases how the company’s sweets are manufactured and where they obtain their ingredients.
The center utilizes ten WEMC-1 ProCommanders for a variety of control functionality. The highlight of the exhibit is Mirror Lake, a free moving plane of 72 mirrors with X- and Y-axis rotation. The lake’s movements are synchronized to an audio and video presentation, creating a stunning focal point.
The 72 mirrors are driven by 17 servo drives, which are divided into two daisy chain connected groups. Both groups are connected to one ProCommander. The built-in drivers on the device make it a perfect solution for this highly sophisticated installation.
This unique exhibit was made possible because of the low price point and advanced control options available with the Weigl technology.
