The Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Cafe in Pigeon Forge, TN contains more chickens in a smaller space than throughout many large theme parks. This unique restaurant seems normal enough at first, but frequently throughout the breakfast rush, nearly 100 chickens ‘spring,’ to life ‘bocking,’ and ‘tweeting,’ their favorite hits; each recorded specifically for this venue. Several different styles and characterizations of the chickens are spread throughout the restaurant and each contains DMX lighting and multi-channel audio.
For this unique installation, Weigl Controls provided over 75 of our new Servo 16 Pro I/O™ controllers , which allowed not only for precise 100 frame per second, 16-bit control of each of the servos; but also allowed the Chickens to turn off when not in use, saving mechanical operation time, as well as power. Each of the Servo Pro I/O™ controllers were connected to a managed Cisco switch via standard CAT6 cables. To allow for maximum schedule flexibility, Axtell elected to use one of our media servers which allowed for remote programming abilities and uncompressed, studio quality audio reproduction. ProCommander® 3 controllers were also employed in this installation.
ConductorPro™ ran native on the embedded device for the animation and lighting programming and Axtell remotely adds shows frequently to the system.
